LUV48 (Short for Love48) is a 48/46G cover group produced by leader Yokoyama Jurina. The group has had a total of 35 total members since the start of auditions in mid-2013. The first generation as announced and debuted on July 5 of 2014, making the day LUV48's official birthday. The debut single of the group, Hajimemashou! was released for download on July 19, 2014. They are currently under Spring Mountain Entertainment, which also houses Love Project.
As of July 2016, only Team L, Team U, and Kenkyūchū are active.
